The dark neighborhoods

In memory of Tomoko Pinckard.

In the dark neighborhoods
off the sidewalks we can't perceive
inside the houses we can't see
...there are many rooms.

I hope that one exists
for you and holds your giggle
(with your mouth cupped to your face)
and a really cute sweater.
