ame across an article today on how to transform XML data into a Microsoft Word document using Active Server Pages. My first thought was pretty snide, since the object is to take a non-proprietary, standard markup which can more easily be generated into HTML (printable, viewable, platform independent) and which can be read nearly globally and transform it into a format which can be read by only one application. O-kaaay, I thought. But upon reflection, I felt less confident in being so self-righteous. The need being met could be that a user needs to transform that data easily and doesn't know either HTML or XML. So now I think that this information could be useful for someone out there.
