I'm using Netscape 6.1. I'm as surprised as you are.
I'm using Netscape 6.1. And I'm as surprised as you are.
Downloaded Netscape 6.1 for Windows and MacOS. Have had several days use of it. I really like it. I'm not the only one. The "Enable Quick Launch" option makes it very usable. It loads pages quickly. The support for CSS is excellent. I haven't been able to make it crash, and I do some really weird DHTML experiments every once in a while.

It's been so easy and smooth to install and use I find myself having to search a little harder for constructive criticism. I guess I have some questions regarding the behavior of <textarea> tags and specifically, wrapping, but that's a small, small concern. After just a couple of days, I've found myself spending all of my browsing time there. Wow. Those developers should be proud.

Now...

Even though I'm working all of the time, I can still see some of the world beyond if I squint just right...just like looking at a moving train and seeing the scenery beyond through the rushing spaces between cars. In fact, I can just make out the following:

This. Fun and beautiful. I could play with this all day. (Shockwave fun)

The Washington Post's Richard Cohen writes about a Congress scared of The Mad Scientist Bogeyman: "Maybe just to be safe they should outlaw twins."

Bynari releases the first all-Linux groupware to compete with Exchange, Notes, Groupwise.

If you installed Netscape 6 Preview Releases and are having trouble with 6.1 then be aware (as I was not) that you need to fully uninstall those older versions...

And did you know that on July 28, 1945 an Army B-25 light bomber flew into the Empire State Building in New York, tore a hole between the 78th and 79th floors and killed 13 people. (!) Which only goes to prove that I know Jack and Shit.

Those of you who, reflexively, upon hearing the above sentence, feel the need to blurt "...and jack just left town," well it looks like you and I have had our reptilian brain modified in exactly the same way. :)
