The miracle of communication via encoded formats across decentralized nodes :: Jane told me who the girl in this story was and sooo...Hi, Alex!. Be careful of the Banilla, Digi-Destined. Maybe I'll ask her if it's OK to link.. And I'll ask if she's ever worked as a bricklayer. Or if she's ever been male :)
A girl called in during yesterday's radio interview. I couldn't guess her age, she seemed young. Speaking a little softly and breathlessly she told me she was excited that she now would be able to tell her friend that she talked to "someone in the band."
Wait, it gets cuter. She said she was making a mix tape and that she wanted to know which song of ours she should put on the mix tape. I said it would depend on the details: Who is it for? Why are you giving them a mix tape?
She said it was for "a friend...(then a little softer)...who really likes...music." (I might be off a word or two or three:)
It was soooooo cute. It was terribly gratifying.
If you're anything like me, then you think this was the cutest thing; but are too accustomed to everyday interaction with identity-challenged internet users to avoid the suspicion that the girl might actually be a forty year old male bricklayer.
