I heard a rumor this morning about Arab-American citizens being asked to change flights because their presence on at least one particular flight made too many other passengers nervous.
Which inspires me to list the following: The first names of some of the programmers, DBAs, and executives on our dev and ops team. Not coincidentally, this is also a very short list of people who are likely to make certain other passengers on commercial flights uncomfortable:
LAKSHMINARAYANA
BULENT
RAMARAJU
ERNESTO
MURTHY
HOUMAN
RAVI
GAUTAM
SANTOSH
GOPI
We joke all the time about our secret plan being "found out" during boarding. Should I tell you the Secret Plan? In its entirety, the Plan involves not getting our laptops counted as carry-on luggage. :)
A Secret Released. Well, I guess if you can't trust your secrets to anonymous port 80 GET requests over the internet, then to whom can you entrust them?
In any case, the event regarding flight changes may or may not have happened; (sigh) I don't know since I haven't done any research, and, besides... who can tell these days? The latest in news organizations' standards and procedures seems to be not to verify or document any sources regarding national security. Who am I to buck the trend?
All I am saying is that I heard a rumor this morning. And by "I heard a rumor" I mean I was just listening to what the daily news organizations were reporting as fact.
"More internet attacks. NIMDA? NIMBY. And why do I have to think like a terrorist?"
